It seems that just a handful of years ago, expats in Phuket always had a problem trying to find imported food items as there weren’t any international supermarkets outside of Big C and Tesco Lotus. Things have changed dramatically over the past few years starting with the opening of Central Festival near Phuket Town, and more recently the opening of Jung Ceylon in Patong and Villa Market in Chalong.
Now there is more choice than ever in every part of the island, because before, the main shopping centers were restricted to Patong, Chalong and Phuket Town.
The latest news will be music to the ears of those who live on the northwestern side of the island as a Villa Market will open at the new Boat Avenue complex in Cherngtalay, set to open in November this year.
The Villa market that was opened in Chalong over 3 years ago has been a roaring success, providing expats with lots of imported food goodies that they simply couldn’t obtain before.
The new Villa Market in Cherngtalay will be great news for those living in Bang Tao, Surin and locations near the airport such as Nai Yang and Mai Khao.
There will be a grand opening ceremony to launch the new Boat Avenue Complex and Villa Market, held on the 22nd November of this year.
