Off the back of their recent success of being confirmed winners in the Asia-Pacific Property Awards, Phuket Bluepoint Condo development has announced it has won another award, from Canada no less! The architects of this fabulous critically-acclaimed project, Paul Raff Studio, have scooped an award on behalf of Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) for the design of the sales pavilion on the development.
OAA have described the design from Canada’s Paul Raff in the ‘Small buildings, design excellence’ category by saying they are, “Recognizing the innovative skills of Ontario architects in creating spaces, buildings and communities that respect and enhance the environment and enrich human activity.”
Describing the project, Mr. Raff said it is “a project that transforms a prefab box-frame and off-the-shelf planks into an artful, dynamic pavilion. The pavilion’s form, material and construction were inspired by the iconic regional presence of the curved wooden boats of local fishermen. Fishing boats today are still constructed in the manner of the region’s first-known inhabitants 2,000 years ago, by curving lengths of timber over a [wooden] framework.”
This is great news for not only Paul Raff and Bluepoint Condos, but also for the entire Phuket real estate industry. To learn more about Bluepoint Condos, please click here to see our property description.
