It has been reported that Thai Airways’ junior sister airline, Thai Smile, is set to launch three more routes to and from Phuket, two of which will be from India, while the other one will be through Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Not only is this great news for Phuket, but also passengers, because the prices of the tickets are very competitive indeed.
The Phuket to Kuala Lumpur route will commence on 3 April 2013, while the route from Phuket to New Delhi will being on 1 April. The remaining route from Phuket to Mumbai will start on 2 April. So in effect, over the next two weeks, we are going to see even more arrivals at Phuket International Airport.
