Good news this week for foreign holidaymakers and Phuket expats as the Phuket Immigration office reopened in Patong. Considering the massive influx of foreign visitors to Phuket, it is quite staggering that Patong was without an immigration office for so long. But after large and vocal responses from the island’s expats and holidaymakers, everything is back up and running like it should be.
The reopening of the office will save foreigners lots of time and trouble, as the nearest immigration office in Phuket was all the way at Phuket Town, where you don’t find so many foreign tourists.
The Patong Branch is located on Patong Beach Road near to the Impiana Resort, open from 10am to 3pm with a total of five onsite staff and volunteers.
The Phuket Town headquarters of immigration is till the place you need to visit for all your visa applications and renewals.
