If you are looking for something different in Phuket this February, the 3rd Thailand Stand Up Paddle Racing Invitational at Bliss Beach Club on Bang Tao Beach will give you a few smiles. Don’t get it twisted though, this is a serious tournament with some of the best Stand Up paddlers (SUPers) around competing for supremacy on Sunday 22nd February.
There will be an elite 6km race and 1km sprint race, both of which will crown the best Thailand SUPers. Although the tournament is serious for the competitors, there wil also be lots of fun activities to enjoy such as family races and an island team challenge that will see teams from Phuket’s hotels and business battling it out for bragging rights.
There will be lots of music, indie markets, food and beverage tents and an after party at Bliss Beach Club that coincides with the popular “Soundwave Sunday” with excellent DJs spinning tunes.
