Just when you thought that all the Chinese New Year festivities were over for another 365 days, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) have planned a festival that combines Chinese New Year with the always-popular Old Phuket Town Festival. Although the Chinese celebrations finished last week, you have another opportunity to take part in the fun.
Those of you who have been to the Old Phuket Town Festival before will already know that it’s a great festival. And combining it with Chinese New year will give it another element.
There will be lots of food stalls and vendors as always, alongside traditional dance performances, music and art.
The festival will be held from the 26th Feb to 28th Feb, 2015, at the public park next to the TAT office on Phuket Road, so be sure to get down to Phuket Town and bask in the culture of the age-old links between Phuket and China.
