Did you ever see Tom Cruise in the movie, Cocktail, and was impressed so much by the vertically-challenged movie star’s charismatic performance throwing exotic cocktails about that it made you think “I want to do that for a living?” Me neither, but if you did, you just have to know that this weekend Phuket is hosting the World Bartending Championships, so get your Singapore Slings at the ready.
The championships are to be held at The Port Area of the Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong, on Saturday and Sunday (14th & 15th March), which will see 80 contestants from across the world competing in the tournament.
The International Mix Master & Thailand Championships will take place on the Saturday, while the World Flair Master Championship will take place on Sunday.
All in all, it will be a fun and unique experience, so if you are in Patong over the weekend, it might make a bit of a change.
