Songkran 2015 is well on its way and is celebrated not just in Phuket, but across Thailand with gusto. If you are in Phuket during Thai New Year and seeking a safer and more unique options to celebrate the dawning of a new year, a booze-free party with lots of entertainment will be taking place in Phuket Town on April 13th.
The aim is to create a safe space to celebrate the water festival, ideally geared towards kids, teens and families. The party will be at Limelight Avenue in Phuket Town. The owner of Limelight Avenue, Panee Koaysomboon, recently said, “The aim of the event was to provide a venue for teenagers to enjoy the festival while at the same time reassuring their parents that their children will be safe in an alcohol-free zone.”
There will be lots going on, which will include a live performance by the Thai alternative rock group, Paradox, so if you are seeking a fun, safe and friendly place to spend Songkran, get over to Phuket Town.
