As you probably already know, Phuket is a great place to holiday and attracts millions of international tourists each year that come to experience some of the most beautiful tropical beaches, bask in the sundrenched climate and to explore the fantastic shopping, nightlife and restaurant scene. One of the main reasons why people come to the island is to sample a spot of scuba diving. One of the most popular dive agents in Phuket, Sea Bees Diving, recently scooped an award for their excellence.
Sea Bees Diving is located in Chalong and is one of the oldest dive agents operating on the island, and was recently awarded the prestigious Golden Dolphin at the Tauchen Awards in Germany in the category for “Best Diving Company in Indo-Pacific”.
Every year, the German magazine, Tauchen, awards dive companies for their excellence across many different categories, all of which are then voted on by their readership and also members from the international dive community.
The Managing Director at Sea Bees, Holgar Schwab, was personally in Germany to receive the award and said, “In this category we compete with dive companies in the Philippines and Indonesia, both countries with a much larger diving community than we have here in Thailand. Also the new island demographics didn’t help to gain confidence and we are more than happy that there are still European divers out there who believe that Sea Bees Diving and the Andaman Sea is still a remarkable place for good dives, excellent service and great hospitality.”
