Laguna Phuket is a prestigious estate on the west coast of Phuket with some of the finest properties the island has to offer. Not only known for its five-star villas, Laguna is also very well known for its facilities, especially the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, which is in line for a massive renovation plan over the next 18 months.
The reality is that Blue Canyon and Red Mountain are both the best courses on the island, and Laguna Phuket GC is just a level below, such as the courses at Loch Palm and Phuket Country Club. However, Laguna’s expectations are higher and really want to compete with the island’s biggest golf clubs.
The renovation work will take approximately 18 months and is expected to be completed by January 2015, with work starting in July this year.
The course will still be open during this period, although only 9 holes will be open at any one time, on an alternate basis. The work will aim to improve bunkers, tees, practice facilities and greens. Irrigation and drainage will also be targeted.
During the renovations, members will get a 50%, subject to conditions.
