Those who know Phuket Island very well will tell you that Kathu is the home to a vast majority of expats who want to be in between Patong and Phuket, close to golf clubs such as Loch Palm, Red Mountain and Phuket Country Club. Indeed, this is one of the most convenient places for expats to live, with a massive choice of villas available. If you want to know more about the history of Kathu, and also Phuket, why not visit the 6th Annual Kathu Walking Street Festival?
Hosted at the Kathu shrine from 11 – 13 July, you can enjoy learning about the heritage of Kathu, which is one of the oldest inhabited places on the island. Learn about ‘real’ Phuket, as people will be there to educate both locals and tourists about the region.
You can enjoy lots of art exhibitions, people wearing traditional outfits, sample lots of local delicacies from the vast amount of food stalls and much more.
The festival starts at 5:30pm every day and you can call 076-322130 for more info. Hope to see you there!
