As you may have noticed, we love to talk about Laguna Phuket, whether it’s the area itself, the Laguna Phuket Golf Club or the vast amount of villa and condominium choices the estate offers. Not only are they one of the island’s most prestigious resorts, but they also have an environmentally sound ethos, which is always a breath of fresh air when it comes to large scale resorts or corporations.
Recently, Laguna Phuket continued its green community values with a tree-planting program. Volunteers and staff visited nearby Phang Nga and planted over 2,000 mangrove tree saplings in an aim to protect the luscious green environment we come to expect from the south of Thailand.
This is the seventh edition of Laguna’s tree planting program, which is expected to continue in the coming months and years. Over the course of the program, a total of nearly 17,000 trees have been planted by the group in the Greater Phuket Region.
We believe that all the island’s major companies should follow suit and give something back to a nation that has given them so much.
