Phuket’s most famous and popular event, the Phuket International Blues Festival, will once again take place on the island this weekend, and as usual, there is a top line up planned for live music connoisseurs. One major change this year is the venue for the event. For the past few years, the festival was hosted by the Phuket Hilton Hotel, however, this year the event will take place at Laguna Phuket for the first time.
The event will be presented by 91.5FM, and of the 12 artists and bands appearing from 10 different countries, the headlining act will be Chris Thomas King of New Orleans, who is the biggest selling blues artist this century. This year’s festival will be sponsored by the Phuket Gazette and the biggest Phuket Blues Festival to date.
The event will be staged over two days on Friday and Saturday, 24-25 February, starting at 6pm both evenings until midnight. If you are a music lover, especially blues, you simply can’t miss this event.
