Festivals in Phuket are a very colourful and exciting time, and February 15 – 17th sees Phuket combine Chinese New Year celebrations with the Old Phuket Town Festival at the public park on Phuket Road.
Tens of thousands of residents and tourists take to the streets to join in on the three day festivities with four of the old town’s roads closed for traffic and pedestrianised. Thalang, Krabi, Phuket and Soi Rommanee.
Entertainment starts at around 3pm daily, and continues through till midnight.
If you’re lucky enough to be in Phuket while this popular cultural festival is taking place try to squeeze it in, as Phuket comes alive with food, music, dance, parades, magic shows, street performances and lots of fun activities. You will be able to see first hand how beautiful the culture, art and traditions are as the local residents of Phuket come together to put on an amazing event.
