When thinking about purchasing a piece of Phuket real estate, I am surprised that not so many people ever mention Chalong Bay. Chalong is located on the ‘up and coming’ East Coast of Phuket, and is one of Phuket’s convenient locations. Chalong also happens to be one of the best value for money areas, but with it’s growing popularity this will no doubt change over time.
If you want to get to Phuket Town, Central Festival, Rawai, Nai Harn, Kata or Karon within a 15-minute drive, surely nowhere is better than Chalong. But to be fair, you don’t even have to venture that far, as Chalong is home to the expat’s favourite Villa Market supermarket, and there’s also a nearby commercial park that has a Tesco Lotus Express and many popular food outlets.
The road leading to Chalong Pier has lots of nightlife options with a selection of fine Thai and European restaurants. And with Chalong’s close-knit community, it would be easy to make new friends.
