Things are never dull in Phuket, eh? The past week or so has once again been very interesting on the island. Songkran once again lived up to its billing as the world’s largest water fight. Across Thailand, many areas celebrate the Thai New Year Songkran Festivities over a seven-day period, which can become more like an endurance test than a celebration. However, I always think that Phuket has it perfect – 24-hours of hardcore water fight action.
As normal in Phuket, local Thais, holidaymakers and expatriate residents came together to celebrate the New Year and a great time was had by all.
