If you are a reader of our blog, you might have seen out article yesterday on the new Baba Beach Club Resort/Development located directly on Natai Beach, which is on the Thai mainland and just a 20-minute drive from Phuket. On the thephukeyinsider.com website, run by hotel guru Bill Barnett, he reported today that as oceanfront hotel site locations in Phuket are now becoming a bit scarce, hotel and residential villa developers are looking to the north of Sarasin Brigde to solve their special problems.
Bill has reported that the Mai Khao Dream Hotels and Resorts group are currently planning to construct a 400-key property at Ko Pilai/Natai beach to the north of Aleenta. The site in question was formally set to be used by Kameha, which is a Euro brand, but fell through during the global economic troubles.
