The world has dramatically changed over the past ten years due to the internet. One sector that has seen the most change is the travel and tourism markets. At one time in the not too distant past, we had to visit our local travel agent to organize or even decide our holiday destinations. Now we simply turn on the computer and serf the fiber optics in search of our dream holidays, be it flights, accommodation, restaurants, bars, attractions of interest or anything we desire.
Review portholes such as TripAdvisor are gaining more kudos as time goes by, relying on reviews from holidaymakers the world over to give reliable accounts of every holiday location, hotel and restaurant you could possibly imagine. Such reviews make the site a very powerful source of information to be used by all.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has partnered up with TripAdvisor, allowing visitors to access user reviews and ratings from TAT’s website.
”Travellers all over the world enjoy the luxury of choice, but finding the best places and products at the best value for money can be a challenging exercise. Our link-up with TripAdvisor will allow visitors to make smart decisions about how best to enjoy a holiday in Thailand within the framework of their time and budget availability,” said TAT governor, Thawatchai Arunyik.
