In recent news on the Phuket tourism sector, the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide group has announced that they have signed an agreement with the Grand Bay Hotel to unveil a new Sheraton Phuket Grand Bay Resort, as part of their plans to expand in the Asia Pacific marketplace.
The resort is slated to open in January 2019, which will support the brand’s Sheraton 2020 aims of adding 150 hotels to their repertoire over the next five year period.
“We look forward to partnering with Grand Bay Hotel Co Ltd to expand Starwood’s robust footprint in Thailand,” said Senior Vice President for Acquisitions and Development at Starwood, Rajit Sukumaran. “With its idyllic beaches and lush rainforests, Phuket draws an unwavering number of inbound and domestic travelers, making it a strategic market for Sheraton and further driving formidable growth for Starwood in Asia Pacific.”
The 200-room resort will showcase all the 5-star magnificence that makes Sheraton such a desirable and luxurious name in the world travel and holiday sector.
